As the ridge road ends, a cemetery and the a golf course appear. You have reached the world class resort at Koele just outside Lanai City. You can spend hundreds a night on a "room" here or camp at Hulopoe Bay (next to Manele Harbor where the ferry docks) for $5 a night at a full service beach. A camping permit is required from Koele.

For another little ride, check out the "Gardens of the Gods" rock formations This ride is about 14 miles, almost level, round trip from Lanai City.
