British Columbia's Idaho Peak

Alpine wildflowers abound near the summit.

A look down into the Slocan Valley as a thunderstorm rumbles in the distance.

Here I am at the top displaying (a) shameful "victory" over the mountain, (b) seeing if I can press 25 pounds, (c) acting as a lightning rod. Answer: All of the above.

From the summit parking lot, Wakefield Trail makes its way down the mountain. Again, focus on the trail. You don't wanna go off the trail.

Here Ned negotiates a switchback. Parts of the trail were very steep but Ned managed them by using some cool trials moves. Awesome. I almost needed a ladder. Wakefield Trail turns into some fast fire roads about 6 miles down and eventually comes out on Rt. 6. About a 35 mile loop. A most spectacular ride!

Just a little bit tired. Time for a break before the drive home.
