Hana Highway Road Ride...from Keanae to Kipahulu

A view of one of the northeast portions of Haleakala.

Ginger blossoms and and other exotics make up the "weeds" here at Wainapanapa State Park, located about 5 miles from Hana.

A black sand beach and arch all made from "recent" lava flows. Camping and cabins are available here at Wainapanapa.

Hana as seen from a pier at Hana Beach Park. There are lots of roadside stands from "halfway" to Hana to beyond the "Seven Pools" area provinding local produce and stuff to drink not to mention in Hana. Hana is not so much the destination, of this adventure but a stop along the way. The adventure of the ride, rules.

Night blooming cereus growing out of a stone wall, south of Hana.

Near Wailua Gulch looking into rainforest.

A view of the upper pools in the "seven" Pools of Ohe'o" portion of Haleakala National Park at Kipahulu.
