Directions To Kula Forest Reserve
To get to the Kula Forest Reserve area, take Route 37(Haleakala Highway) approximately 14 miles from the Hana Highway to Waipoli Road, backtracking a bit on Route 377.
Another way is to follow the signs to Haleakala National Park from 37 to 377 but keep going for several miles after you see the "22 Miles to Crater" sign.
About 7 miles up Waipoli Road,the paved portion ends up giving way to easy dirt road biking to the trails and upper roads. Park along the road after crossing the cattle guard by the Kula Forest Reserve and Boundry (hiking) Trail sign.
